Telecom and Technology Reporter’s Network, Bangladesh(TRNB) was established in February 2008, with the aim of elevating the professional standards of journalists working in the telecommunications and information technology (IT) sectors, contributing to the formulation of national policies for IT development in Bangladesh, ensuring a conducive environment for journalists’ professional responsibilities, and promoting public awareness of the safe use of IT.

The journalists working with top most renowned national daily newspapers, television channels and online news media of Bangladesh, get the membership of this organization. In addition to regular reporting on the telecommunication and information technology sector, members of TRNB are also contributing to various stages of policy analysis and state policy adoption related to this industry. Journalists Shahed Siddique and Shawkat Milton, who have played a leading role in telecommunication journalism in Bangladesh, are the founding president and general secretary of this organization. Renowned journalists from the telecommunication and information technology sectors have been leading this organization for the past 16 years. Presently, journalist Rased Mehedi, who is well known as an analyst of telecommunication and information technology sector and has experience of reporting on this industry sector for almost two decades, is serving as the president of the organization. Masuduzzaman Robin, another well-known journalist in telecommunication and ICT journalism, is in charge of the general secretary.

Since the beginning of the journey till now, TRNB has organized 24 national seminars and workshops on various subjects related to the telecom and IT industry in Bangladesh.
